Executive coaching is a long-term, ongoing, one-on-one relationship between a coach and a leader.  It’s meant to help develop and strengthen the individual’s leadership capabilities, enabling you to improve your performance and the performance of your organization (and perhaps industry) as a whole.

We will meet weekly for 30 minutes to an hour for six months.

The process begins with a commitment between the coach (me) and the leader (you), both of us agreeing to remain objective.  I, as your coach, will learn to understand your perspective of you as a leader/executive and the organization of where you are currently or where you want to go, which will be key to development.  I will observe the short and long-term effects of your behavior and decisions and make a thorough assessment over the course of the initial coaching sessions, including getting to know your learning style.  My goal is to help you as a leader/executive maximize your effectiveness through a long-term behavioral plan.

At this stage, I will deploy a variety of tools to gather a complete data set regarding your current leadership style and effectiveness.  During this data-gathering stage, I will run some tests in personality, attitude, skills, and values. All this data combines into a powerful tool from which to plan future steps.

The next step is the feedback phase.  I will focus on your behaviors instead of your character.  This helps to digest the feedback better and displays that behavior is something that can be changed.  I will put emphasis on your strengths to maintain confidence and enthusiasm.  Once the feedback has been shared, we will work together to establish behavioral objectives that will work towards the greatest impact and improvement.

As a business owner, you may find extra support is needed to take your business to the next level. As an objective third party, a business coach offers many benefits, including:

  • Offering unbiased viewpoint

  • Providing constructive criticism

  • Removing mental roadblocks

  • Recommending new methods or plans

  • Providing new networking opportunities

The main focus is generally on your company’s overall growth. The more growth a company sees, the more successful and profitable it will be. Since all business owners want their company to be successful, I work alongside you to make it happen.

Other aspects of the coaching service may include financial planning, marketing strategies or general planning. I will help you with:

  • Setting up your business
  • Creating a business plan, company mission statement and values
  • Marketing and promoting strategies
  • Developing or specific financial strategies
  • Troubleshooting business problems or inefficiencies

Finally, I will guide you as a leader/executive as you implement these changes and evaluate your progress.  I will monitor your behavior and help you troubleshoot and overcome obstacles.  Feedback will be given to encourage positive behaviors and discourage the negative while keeping the long-term objectives in focus.  This coaching relationship can garner outstanding results for individuals and organizations alike.  When done well, executive coaching is a powerful and rewarding tool to improve the performance of executives and their organizations and will likely be well worth the investment.

At RTG Enterprises, my executive coaching approach is a unique blend of high tough and adaptive.

2 Month Career Counseling Package

Tailored counseling sessions are based on where you are in life.

  1. Students: (18 and 25 years old)  RTG counselors will guide you through the process of discovering your strengths, aspirations, values, skills, and work interests.  Combined this will give you the opportunity to identify career options that fit your personality and interests.  You will learn how to research companies, occupations, industries, and identify the skills you have and skills that you need to obtain – and how to obtain them.
  2. Mid-Career: (26 to 40 years old)  The average time a person spends in one position is three to five years.  This means that a person is either in the job search or evaluation phase at least three to five times before they turn 40.  As with any professional (business, athletes, politicians, artists, etc.), counseling and coaching helps you stay on top of your game and be competitive.  It is one of the reasons that professional licenses and certifications require continued education.  RTG counselors will help you see the value of the skills that you have acquired, and develop an action plan on enhancing these skills and adding additional skills that will be valuable to employers (either current or new).
  3. Late-Career: (40s, 50s, 60s, 70+) Very few people today “retire.”  Many individuals find themselves in a situation that either they have to keep working, or they just want to keep working.  Social Security officially does not start until age 65, but many people want to continue working way past this age.  It gives them a sense of purpose, accomplishment and feeling alive.  When looking for a job after 40 or 50, many people feel that they lose to the younger generation, or they have to “settle” with a position.  RTG consultants will help you rediscover yourself by helping you identify the occupations that inspire passion in you, and then help you create an action plan that shows employers the vast skills and experiences that will be very valuable to the organization and help them grow, thrive, and train a new generation of successful professionals.
  4. Seasoned Professionals: (Directors, Vice Presidents, Presidents, C-Suite, Owners) Ask any executive and they will tell you they have a mentor or advisor, which means successful executives do not “go it alone.”  RTG can connect you with consultants that can help you build your brand and your team, become the visionary that you need to be, understand the business environment you are in or want to be in, find new opportunities that fit your interests, and share ways to help others become successful.
